Quarry Bank’s collection is varied, and you will help to look after a wide range of objects; from the nationally significant archive containing the records for the mill, estate and Greg family, delicate watercolours, photographs and paper, to furniture and large industrial machinery. You'll be responsible for routine housekeeping, preventive conservation and the annual programme of deep cleaning. Your attention and expertise will help to ensure excellent standards of care throughout the buildings. You'll collect and record information gathered during cleaning and housekeeping to improve our knowledge and understanding of the houses and all that’s in them. You’ll use preventive conservation methods to improve how we look after everything, and how we present it to visitors.You will also supervise some of the tasks of the team of passionate and dedicated volunteers.The National Trust has the motto ‘For everyone, for ever’ at its heart.
