We are Looking for support for our male client with a moderate learning disability and can display challenging behaviour, in the Immingham DN40 area. Support is on a one-to-one basis in the clients home. Shifts include daytime shifts with sleep ins on a rota basis. Ideally covering a 24-hour period. This post is exempt under the Equality Act 2010 as there is a genuine occupational need for Male support workers only. You will need: Previous experience with challenging behaviour Caring, patient and empathetic nature Excellent communication skills Fluent English Motivation to make a difference to our clients Must have two years experience in care to meet a specific level of competence or knowledge. Must be eligible to live and work in the UK (Sponsors are not available) Your role would include: Supporting with daily living tasks including maintaining healthy diet, domestic responsibilities, attending appointments and managing correspondence. Supporting and prompting with personal care tasks. Administration and management of medication. Cognitive and behavioural support via the use of effective management strategies.
