At Kerry, we’re excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineers at our Coleraine manufacturing site. With new production lines opening, we need dedicated professionals to support our operations through a rotating 12-hour shift pattern, including days, nights, and weekends.
What Will You Be Doing?
As a key player in our team, your responsibilities will include:
* Safety First: Comply with Health and Safety Policies to ensure a safe working environment.
* Maintenance Mastery: Handle both electrical and mechanical maintenance, focusing on preventative measures and quick responses to breakdowns.
* Collaboration: Work closely with Production shift managers and teams to meet plant efficiency targets.
* Food Safety: Ensure all food safety standards are upheld during maintenance activities.
* Inventory Management: Maintain material stock levels and manage spare parts bookings.
* Contractor Oversight: Supervise contractors while they are on site.
* Housekeeping: Maintain high standards of cleanliness in all engineering areas.
* Project Involvement: Participate in new installations and projects as needed.
* Documentation: Develop and update work instruction sheets and risk assessments.
What Do You Need to Succeed?

* Experience: Time-served multi-skilled engineer with both mechanical and electrical expertise.
* Qualifications: Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an engineering discipline (e.g., BTEC National Certificate/Diploma).
* Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to quickly identify root causes of efficiency issues and develop effective solutions.
* Tech-Savvy: Proficient in computer use.
* Organizational Skills: Logical and well-organized approach to tasks.
* Communication: Strong communication skills at all levels, both internally and externally.
* Independence: Ability to work with minimal supervision.
* Health & Safety Awareness: Knowledge and appreciation of Health & Safety practices.
