This is an exciting time to join our market leading Residential Development Unit as the team continues to win repeat and new work from its impressive client base of recognised national and regional housebuilders. As a paralegal in our fantastic Birmingham based team you will enjoy working in a fast‑paced environment and taking responsibility for your own matters with the assistance of a case management system.
Responsibilities
You will manage a varied workload of matters, including resale enquiries, Land Registry requisitions, deeds of variation, affordable housing sales, lease extensions and managed land transfers. This client‑facing role will give you full encouragement and support in developing and maintaining strong relationships with our clients.
Qualifications and Attributes
* Undergraduate degree (LPC desirable but not essential)
* Great communication skills, both written and verbal
* Commitment to forging strong working relationships with our clients
* Ability and willingness to learn
* Strong attention to detail and ability to identify areas where help or advice is needed
* Organised, methodical and proactive approach in managing time, work priorities and deadlines
* Strong team‑working ethic
* Good IT skills, ideally including experience of a case management system
* Discretion and professionalism at all times
* Calm under pressure and able to operate efficiently in a fast‑paced and demanding environment
* Proactively chase matters and report regularly to clients and management
* Demonstrate quick response times to client queries and matter updates
