Temporary role due to increase in numbers
We are seeking to appoint a confident, creative Early Years Practitioner/Teaching and Learning Assistant to join our exceptional Early Years team. The role will involve supporting all aspects of provision within our EYFS, facilitating sustained shared thinking and characteristics of effective learning, taking responsibility for early reading, phonics and maths teaching, and implementing tailored intervention programmes where appropriate. Candidates will need to have a genuinely child-centred approach and demonstrate a profound understanding of effective Early Years practice and pedagogy.
A commitment to inclusive Early Years practice, a passion for working with young children and an excellent understanding of how to apply the EYFS curriculum successfully, are essential requirements for this post. Experience working with 2-year-olds and multilingual pupils would be advantageous. Level 2 Early Years Qualification is an essential qualification for this post; Level 3 Early Years Qualification and Paediatric First Aid qualification are desirable. The successful applicant will be a committed, ambitious but reflective practitioner, keen to play an active part in the further development of our school.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
