Quantity Surveyor - New Build Warehouse (£5m) - Hertfordshire Salary: Up to £55,000 Car Allowance Bonus Location: Hertfordshire Sector: Main Contractor - Commercial & Residential Projects Company Turnover: £100m The Company Our client is a well-established Main Contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality Commercial and Residential projects across the South East. With a turnover of around £100m, they have built a solid portfolio of successful developments ranging from high-end residential schemes to modern commercial builds. Due to continued growth and a strong order book, they are now seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a new build warehouse project valued at up to £5m, based in Hertfordshire. The Role As the Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of the project from procurement through to final account. Working closely with the Project Manager and Commercial Manager, you'll ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the company's high standards. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all cost management, valuations, and variations on the project. Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities. Manage subcontractor procurement, payments, and performance. Conduct regular site visits and liaise with site management teams. Provide accurate cost reporting and forecasting to senior management. Ensure compliance with contractual terms and company procedures. About You Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline. Proven experience working for a Main Contractor on new build projects. Ideally experienced within the commercial or industrial sector. Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
