As a Social Care Worker your main job is to help older people living in the care home. This post is responsible for leading a team to support vulnerable adults within a residential setting.
You must have the ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative, follow instructions and possess good communication skills. You must be able to respond constructively to unpredictable situations and able to cope under pressure. You must hold a minimum of SVQ level 2 in Social Care or equivalent (minimum required for registration with SSSC), a commitment to achieve SVQ 3 on Social Care.
Main Duties Include:
1. To administer medication as prescribed.
2. Able to take responsibility as a key worker
3. To support to reablement plans for service users
4. To contribute to the planning, monitoring and recording of service delivery.
5. Ability to act as shift lead, with temporary overall responsibility of the care home
This is a part-time permanent post of 17.3 hours per week to be worked in accordance with service requirements, for overnight care and support.
