Main duties of the job
About You
The ideal candidate will:
* Be an Emergency Nurse Practitioner with current registration with the NMC.
* Have demonstrable leadership experience in a healthcare environment.
* Have experience of overseeing quality, governance and safety of regulated services.
* Be able to influence and drive change and improvement.
* Have knowledge of quality governance arrangements and Care Quality Commission standards and assessments.

Job Responsibilities
The post holder will work within the MIIU, overseen by the Matron, to ensure delivery of high-quality clinical services, coordinate activities, and assess, examine, and care for patients in line with scope of practice. They will promote positive approaches to challenges, act as patient advocate, and liaise with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications
* First Level registration (RN)
* First Degree or working towards
* BSc Nurse Practitioner / Emergency Nurse Practitioner / Emergency Care Practitioner or equivalent
* Accident & Emergency Course
* Experience in assessment, diagnosis, and management of minor illnesses/injuries
* Evidence of CPD
Desirable
* Minor Injuries and/or Minor Illness Course, or willing to work towards
Flexibility
* Willingness to be flexible and adaptable
* Ability to work across 5 days
* Ability to work unsocial hours if required
Experience
* Experience in an acute or community hospital as an ENP
