As the Operations Manager, you'll lead by example, fostering best practices and developing a dynamic, motivated, and skilled operational team, all while ensuring optimal efficiency and complete audit adherence through diligent compliance management.
As part of your key responsibilities you’ll:
* Be responsible for all elements of operational management across the sites
* Lead operational teams and support the operation in meeting and exceeding our KPI's, ensuring that our operational performance meets business targets and clients' expectations
* Maintain compliance with Health and Safety regulations, environmental, and quality standards
* Support operational project scoping, planning, costing, and security activities
* Drive efficiency within the warehouse, including space and layout
* Build strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and colleagues, fostering continuous improvement and effective communication
* Provide subject matter expertise to support the business in operational delivery and service to meet client expectations
* Deliver supply chain improvements and reduced costs through utilisation of the Unipart Way principles and tools
* Deliver operational and customer service excellence through innovation, continuous improvement, effective process management and effective leadership
* Lead a team of people capable of implementing tactical and strategic projects that will reduce the overall cost of the client's supply chain
* Lead a team of people and ensure that a culture of employee engagement is embedded within own teams and their reports
About You

* Experience within the utilities sector
* Confident, resilient and self-motivated
* Strong P&L Management with commercial acumen,
* A commitment to self-development and team development,
* Good commercial acumen,

* Strong planning, organisational and time management skills
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Strong problem-solving skills, with a continuous improvement mind-set
* Strong administrative and IT skills
* Experience of managing busy/complex operational teams
* Strong team management and development skills
* Track record of leading and delivering quality through process adherence
