Make a Difference in WFS Training and Development Team

Join our specialist WFS Training & Development team to support and develop Financial Services staff, including FCA-certified colleagues. You will focus primarily on enhancing and delivery on our initial onboarding programme—helping new hires start their careers at Wesleyan with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to succeed.

Your responsibilities will include developing colleagues' understanding and application of our processes, balancing training with ongoing support to ensure their success. While this role is primarily remote, you'll need to travel to various locations, including our Birmingham City Centre Head Office, so flexibility and willingness to travel are essential.

Your Impact

Here's how you'll make a difference:

* Scoping & Managing T&D Plans
: Collaborate across business areas to scope and manage training and development plans. Conduct training needs analyses for new colleagues, identify learning gaps, and develop plans to address them.
* Onboarding New Colleagues:
Design, deliver, and evaluate onboarding programmes that are high-quality, engaging, and sustainable—both remotely and via face-to-face workshops.
* Upskilling Existing Colleagues:
Create and deliver blended learning solutions (directly or via Train the Trainer approach) for existing staff. Ensure managers are equipped to embed training into ongoing performance.
* Evaluation:
Develop and implement evaluation methods to validate training effectiveness.
* Quality Assurance
: Maintain training materials to ensure they remain current, accurate, and aligned with Wesleyan's People Development standards, working closely with subject matter experts.

What You'll Bring

* Recognised Level 4 financial services qualification minimum (e.g., CII Diploma in Financial Planning).
* Proven success in training and coaching within a regulated financial advice environment.
* Experience designing and delivering diverse training solutions—including digital content (Rise, Articulate), remote sessions, and face-to-face workshops.
* Strong knowledge of regulatory and legislative requirements related to financial advice.
* Experience using or training on Investment Platforms.
* Motivational, inspiring training style with excellent presentation skills.
* Proven ability to set direction, motivate, and develop others to achieve operational goals.

Benefits That Work for You

We believe rewards should reflect the life you live. Here's what you can expect:

* Annual bonus to recognise your contribution.
* 28 days holiday (plus a culture day) – rising to 30 days with service.
* Flexible hybrid working for better work-life balance.
* Company pension scheme – matched plus 2% (up to 10%).
* Free secure underground Birmingham city centre parking (subject to availability, weekend use included).
* Salary sacrifice schemes that help you provide the things that matter – to include PMI, Electric Vehicle Leasing and cashback on everyday essentials.
* Enhanced family leave and two volunteering days to give back to causes you care about.
