Research and Knowledge Exchange Manager
Location: Cirencester, GL7 6JS
Salary: Grade 8 - £37,099 to £44,262 per annum (Depending on experience)
Job Type: Permanent, full-time, 35 hours per week with flexible working options

The Role
The core responsibility of the Research and Knowledge Exchange (KE) Manager is to lead research, research consultancy, and KE support throughout the research project lifecycle. This includes establishing the university's portfolio of knowledge transfer activities, making decisions on grant viability, managing finances, drafting and reviewing contracts, enhancing research and KE support quality, and reporting to the University Executive on research and KE activities.
Skills And Qualifications
You should have a solid understanding of the UK higher education research funding system and experience managing research projects, including large and complex grants (pre- and post-award). Experience in developing or managing Knowledge Transfer Partnerships and a good understanding of the impact environment are essential.
Strong project management, operational, and organizational skills are required, along with technical skills for reviewing and drafting contracts. The role demands high stakeholder engagement, excellent customer service, and a drive for business improvements.
