Job Overview: As a Treasury Asset Liability Management - Balance Sheet Strategy VP, you will be responsible for managing the bank’s financial balance sheet, overseeing IRRBB risk across all entities, and developing strategies to manage these risks.
Key Responsibilities:
* Measure and manage the bank’s financial balance sheet.
* Support behavioural modelling, risk measurement, and IRRBB management strategies.
* Develop and implement strategies to manage interest rate risk and other ALM risks.
* Model, measure, and report on interest rate risk and capital requirements.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to develop financial models and support decision-making.
Candidate Profile: Experience in Treasury risk management, knowledge of bank products and IRRBB risks, proficiency with QRM, and a Degree/MSc in a quantitative discipline.
Core Skills & Competencies: Risk management, strategic thinking, digital skills, leadership (if applicable), stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
Purpose of the Role: To model, measure, and manage the bank’s balance sheet to optimize risk and profitability.
Accountabilities include: Identifying and measuring interest rate risks, developing hedging strategies, managing the balance sheet, ensuring regulatory compliance, developing financial models, and supporting product development.
Leadership & Collaboration: Lead or contribute as a subject matter expert, guide teams, and advise senior stakeholders. Demonstrate leadership behaviors aligned with Barclays values.
