About The Opportunity
* Staffordshire Police Force Contact Centre is looking for aspiring contact professionals to join our January 2026 intake, helping to establish a safe and confident Staffordshire.

We need people willing and able to help members of the public through challenging moments. Your role will include ensuring all 999/101 emergency and non-emergency calls are answered promptly and professionally.
You will work with Response, Neighbourhood Policing, and Investigation teams, utilizing radio and technology systems to deploy officers and coordinate responses to incidents.
You will be the first point of contact, providing reassurance and gathering vital information during emergencies.
Being a Force Contact Centre Operator involves handling emergency 999 calls, non-emergency 101 calls, and digital platforms such as online crime reporting and live chat. What We Offer
* Total Salary: £36,152 - £42,002 per annum/pro-rata, including 20% shift allowance and 14.21% weekend working, potentially adding up to £9,215 annually. This is contingent on successful completion of the FCC Academy.

* Shift Patterns: After training, shifts cover a 24/7 operation, including evenings, nights, weekends, and bank holidays, on a rotating schedule.
Force Contact Centre Academy
The initial training is 5 weeks classroom-based, covering emergency and non-emergency call handling. Successful competency demonstration is required before shift deployment. Opportunities for development include becoming a tutor or mentor and additional specialist training.
Additional Information
The application deadline is midday on Thursday, 3rd July 2025. Selected applicants will attend assessments on the weekend of 12th and 13th July, followed by interviews on the weekend of 19th and 20th July. The training course begins on 5th January 2026.
