Provide Education are seeking an Engagement and Learning Mentor for an Alternative Provision in Alfreton.

Monday - Friday
£14.25 - £15 per hour
Roles and Responsibilities or the Learning Mentor:
To support pupils in Key Stage 1 and 2
To support young people with their learning both on and offsite under the guidance of a tutor.
Improve the quality of learning and foster the participation of students in setting with the social, emotional and mental health, personal development.
To liaise with other professionals and work on a ration of 2 students to 3 members of staff.
To support students with emotional regulation and their behaviours
Use the relevant behaviour systems
To communicate with parents and carers when necessary
To record progress sessions
The ideal candidate for the Learning mentor role, will have:
Empathy
A passion for seeing young people grow and develop
Commitment to uphold the values and ethos of the setting
A proactive approach to learning and development
A nurturing attitude
Additional interests in sport, activities and vocational learning is admirable but not essential
