This full-time position, commencing in September, is ideal for an educator who thrives in a dynamic and collaborative environment and is passionate about inspiring a love of literature and language in young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and deliver engaging English lessons for Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, fostering critical thinking, creativity, and effective communication skills.
* Design and implement innovative curriculum plans that align with national standards and school objectives.
* Assess student progress through a variety of methods, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
* Actively contribute to the English department's ongoing development and success.
* Maintain a current understanding of best practices in English language and literature instruction.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in English or a related field.
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
* Demonstrated experience teaching English at the secondary level (newly qualified teachers are also encouraged to apply).
* Strong knowledge of English literature, grammar, and writing conventions.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues.
