Senior Tax AI Technology & Innovation Consultant needed – if not you, who?
Our client is looking for an experienced AI Senior Tax Consultant – Tax Technology & Innovation to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with a passion for technology and innovation to make a telling impact in the tax industry. This role is based in Scotland; they offer a very flexible hybrid working model – paying up to £110k + bonus.
What will you be doing?
The AI Consultant in Tax Technology will play a vital role in supporting project delivery, collaborating with clients, and promoting technology adoption across the team.
* Be responsible for managing the delivery of tax technology initiatives, particularly those involving AI‑enabled solutions.
* Coordinate with business analysts, developers, and client teams to ensure project milestones are reached.
* Monitor project progress, manage risks, and ensure high‑quality deliverables are achieved.
* Support customers through workshops and meetings to grasp their tax technology needs and identify opportunities for AI solutions.
* Assist in designing and implementing tailored solutions that tackle client‑specific tax challenges.
* Provide ongoing support and training to clients as they adopt new technologies.
* Promote the use of AI and other advanced technologies within the tax function.
What will you need to do it?
* Experienced in managing and delivering technology projects, ideally within a professional services or tax environment.
* Demonstrate understanding of AI and its applications in business processes; direct experience with tax technology is a plus.
* Show strong project‑management ability – coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
* Experience working across a geographically diverse team.
Skills we’d love to see / Amazing Extras
* While tax experience is not required, an Accounting or tax accreditation such as ACCA, ACA, or CTA or equivalent would be beneficial.
* Experience contributing to the sales of bespoke Technology Solutions is needed.
