1 Week Contract With A Local Authority
Job Purpose:
To provide high-quality cleaning and domestic support in communal and/or residential areas, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. This role is to cover 3 shifts only—supporting the regular team during periods of absence, holiday, or increased demand.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out general cleaning duties in line with the site’s cleaning schedules, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sanitising surfaces, and waste disposal.
* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in communal areas such as lounges, corridors, kitchens, and bathrooms.
* Replenish cleaning materials and toiletries as required.
* Ensure all cleaning tasks are carried out safely and in accordance with Health & Safety and COSHH regulations.
* Report any defects, damages, or concerns about cleanliness, hygiene, or maintenance to the appropriate person.
* Work cooperatively with other staff and respond positively to requests for additional help during busy periods.
* Maintain confidentiality and treat all service users and colleagues with respect and dignity.
Requirements
* Ability to carry out physically demanding cleaning duties.
* Understanding of basic hygiene and cleaning practices.
* Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.
* Flexible and available to work at short notice to cover shifts (including evenings/weekends).
* Reliable and punctual.
Requirements
Previous experience as an estate cleaner General education qualification (desirable) UK driving licence
