Job description
THE EMPLOYER IS: COONEEN GROUP The job entails working as part of a small, efficient team in both goods in and despatch for customers and suppliers. Stock control will be a main element of the job.
Responsibilities
* Take responsibility for keeping stock well organised and tidy.
* Complete Physical cycle counts of warehouse stock daily.
* Identify discrepancies and investigate root cause.
* Identify areas of improvement in regard to stock control.
* Pick components in line with pick list and prepare for delivery.
* Put returned stock back in the correct place and communicate to team leader.
* Ensure warehouse stock is kept organised and tidy.
* Assist with pick and pack during busy warehouse periods.
* Assist with unloading and loading containers when required.
* To identify opportunities for improving the method of operation in your area of responsibility.
* Observe all Company Rules, Standard Operating Procedures and Company Policies particularly in relation to Health and Safety, Harassment, Disciplinary and ICT Security.
* Maximize efficiency by supporting Cooneen Lean continuous improvement activities .
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
* Competent in the use of IT Microsoft Office, word, and excel.
* Keen eye for detail to ensure any imperfections are noticed.
* Strong communication skills.
* Proven ability to follow health & safety procedures.
Desirable Skills
* GCSE Mathematics and English or equivalent at C Grade or above (or equivalent work experience).
* Relevant experience in a Stores/Warehouse environment.
* Experience of using IT Stock systems (although training will be provided).
* Valid Forklift/Telehandler Licence.
