Our client, a prominent player in the Defence & Security and Aerospace sectors, is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team on a contract basis in Brighton. This role is integral to the introduction and support of a new product entering its prototype manufacturing phase, in preparation for subsequent qualification and validation activities. Key Responsibilities: Collaborating closely with Design Engineers, Quality Engineers, and other Operation functions on-site Interpreting drawings and creating inspection processes for components Developing and implementing inspection record cards and associated manufacturing documentation Providing hands-on support to the manufacturing team during the assembly and build of prototype units Identifying and resolving manufacturing and assembly issues encountered during the build process Updating and refining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to incorporate lessons learned and process improvements identified during prototype builds Supporting the transition of the product from prototype manufacture towards qualification and early production readiness Offering flexibility in supporting various functions as required Job Requirements: Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD is essential Experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks is preferred Strong knowledge of manufacturing engineering within a mechanical assembly environment HNC or higher in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering Expe...
