Job Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Triage Nurse to join the Unscheduled Care Team at HMP Pentonville, a Category B prison located in London. HMP Pentonville is a male remand prison with a capacity of 1,200 inmates, situated 10 minutes from Kings Cross Station and offering free parking.
Salary and Hours
Full-time position with a salary up to £56,086 per annum, depending on experience. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8 am–4 pm.

* Manage healthcare requests from patients and triage or refer them to the correct pathway (e.g., dentist).
* Attend emergency response situations and assess patients.
* Provide evidence-based care, actively seeking and acting on patient feedback to personalize care.
* Deliver non‑judgemental care that makes a real difference.
* Build strong links with partners and stakeholders, fostering a trusted and safe service.
* Promote best practice and continuous quality improvement, embedding a culture of shared learning.
* Share knowledge and expertise to ensure safe care, building multidisciplinary teams and supporting colleagues.
Qualifications
* Registered nurse – adult (NMC registration required).
* Evidence of continued professional development.
* Understanding of multi‑disciplinary and multi‑agency working.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Proactive problem solving abilities.
* Motivated individual and team player.
Preferred Background
* Experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment is ideal but not essential.
