What if your kindness and patience could change the way a child experiences school—while giving you the perfect start to a career in education?
We’re working with a specialist education setting in Newcastle that supports children and young people with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and additional needs. They’re looking for a caring, motivated individual to join their team as a Trainee ASC Support Worker.
This role is ideal for someone looking to take their first step into education, psychology, or youth support. You don’t need prior experience—just empathy, curiosity, and a willingness to learn.
-----------------------------------
The Impact You'll Make
This is much more than classroom support. You’ll be helping pupils feel safe, seen, and capable—sometimes for the very first time. Many of the young people you’ll work with have faced challenges both in and out of school, and your consistency, patience, and care can help them reconnect with learning on their own terms.
-----------------------------------
Your Role Will Include:
* Providing one-to-one or small group support for pupils with ASC
* Creating calm, structured routines that reduce anxiety and support focus
* Encouraging social communication and celebrating even the smallest progress
* Working closely with teachers, therapists, and families to support individual learning journeys
* Helping build pupils’ confidence, independence, and emotional security
-----------------------------------
Who We’re Looking For
This role suits someone who brings aspiration, kindness, integrity, and resilience into everything they do. You’ll understand that real progress takes time, and that sometimes just showing up, listening, and staying calm can make a world of difference.
You don’t need formal qualifications or experience—but if you’re considering a future in education, SEN support, psychology, or youth work, this is the ideal place to start.
-----------------------------------
What You’ll Receive
* Weekly pay through PAYE (no umbrella fees)
* FREE autism training and CPD—including Thrive
* Ongoing in-school support from experienced teams
* A dedicated consultant who listens and helps you grow
* A clear pathway into long-term roles in SEND, education, or care
* Referral bonuses when you recommend someone else
