The department
The Residential Real Estate Team at Birketts comprises over 60 members, including 3 partners, operating across seven offices as a unified team. We are looking to fill a vacancy for a Solicitor or Associate (around 2+ years PQE) based in our Cambridge office, focusing on routine residential property transactions.
The Cambridge team includes 3 fee earners and 4 support staff, working alongside support pools for file opening and completion.
Accountabilities
* Acting for high-net-worth individuals and a range of clients including individuals and limited companies
* Handling purchase and financing of routine and complex freehold/leasehold and high-value properties
* Building relationships with clients and brokers
* Supporting mainstream residential conveyancing to aid the wider practice
* Contributing to the development and implementation of the Cambridge team’s business development plan
The candidate
We seek a Solicitor, Legal Executive, or Licensed Conveyancer with at least two years' PQE and experience in residential conveyancing. The candidate should be capable of marketing within this sector and fostering new relationships. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, case management software, Outlook, and digital dictation is essential.
