Contract Manager - Social Housing (Repairs & Maintenance)
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000
Location: Basildon
Hours: 8:00am - 4:00pm
Contract: Permanent
We are currently working in partnership with a well-established organisation within the social housing sector to recruit an experienced Contract Manager to oversee repairs and maintenance operations.
This is an excellent opportunity for a driven professional with strong knowledge of responsive repairs and a solid background in SOR (Schedule of Rates) to join a forward-thinking and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the delivery of day-to-day repairs and maintenance contracts within social housing
2. Manage contractor performance to ensure KPIs, SLAs, and quality standards are consistently met
3. Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive service improvements
4. Monitor budgets and control costs in line with SOR frameworks
5. Ensure all works are compliant with health & safety regulations and industry standards
6. Lead, motivate, and support operational teams to deliver a high-quality service
Requirements:
7. Proven experience in a Contract Manager role within social housing repairs and maintenance
8. Strong working knowledge of SOR (Schedule of Rates)
9. Experience managing budgets, performance, and contractor relationships
10. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
11. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
