Following ongoing Building Surveying discipline and defence sector growth, this is an exciting time to join us as the teams continue to expand. As demand for our expertise grows, we are now looking for a talented Architectural Technologist / CAD Technician to join our dynamic multi‑disciplinary environment.
What You Will Do:
In this role, you’ll support and lead the design and delivery of projects across various sectors, producing technical drawing packages, assisting with specifications, and contributing to the smooth coordination of project information. You’ll work closely with internal and external teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and excellence in all technical outputs.
You may be required to visit sites including occasional travel abroad requiring security clearance vetting with the ideal candidate having UK National status. You would be responsible for managing workload, attending DTMs (typically via MS teams), setting the standard and agreeing timescales for delivery with internal partners.
What You Need to Be Effective:
* Proficient skills in AutoCAD
* Experience using and understanding Revit
* Competence across the Microsoft Office suite
* Ability to express ideas effectively – verbally, graphically, and in writing
* Ability to prepare technical drawing packages and specifications
* A practical and methodical approach to problem‑solving
* Ability to work within fixed budgets and deadlines
* Strong organisation, planning, and time‑management skills
* Understanding of building and construction technology
* Knowledge of UK best practice standards
* Ability to develop strong customer relationships and identify opportunities to support their needs
* Existing security clearance (desirable)
* Experience working in government, defence, critical infrastructure, or other security‑sensitive environments (desirable)
The advertised role is to work autonomously alongside an experienced Architectural Designer to support multi-disciplinary teams lead by Building Surveyors and Project Managers based in offices in:
* Oxford / Woodstock (head office)
* Cheltenham
* Winchester
* Bristol
There is the option to be based in Oxford or Cheltenham offices subject to preference and we can support an agile and flexible working model.
