Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to providing high-quality care to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private residences. This role involves assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety, and promoting their overall well-being.
Responsibilities
* Provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
* Observe and report changes in patients' conditions and behaviors.
* Administer medications as prescribed and monitor vital signs.
* Assist with mobility and transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts.
* Maintain cleanliness in the living environment, including laundry and light housekeeping tasks.
* Document patient care activities accurately in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems or Electronic Health Records (EHR).
* Support individuals with developmental disabilities or memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care.
* Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while handling medical records and patient information.
* Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
Skills
* Strong patient observation skills to identify changes in health status.
* Experience in assisted living or long-term care settings is preferred.
* Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation practices.
* Certification in CPR is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of catheter care and hospice care practices is a plus.
* Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or special needs.
* Experience in home health or community care settings is beneficial.
* Excellent communication skills to interact positively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.

Pay: £24,420.00-£40,000.00 per year
