A leading UK engineering, infrastructure, and professional services organisation is recruiting graduates to join its Engineering Graduate Programme, working on projects that modernise national infrastructure, deliver low-carbon solutions, and support the transition to a more sustainable future.
This programme is designed for graduates who want real responsibility from day one, flexibility to shape their development, and a clear pathway into a permanent engineering role.
Key Criteria
Education
* A degree in any engineering discipline (mechanical, electrical, civil, environmental, energy, building services, or related)
The Programme
This is a two-year rotational graduate programme with a unique level of autonomy. Rather than following a fixed structure, you will co-design your rotations, choosing the specialist areas that align with your interests and career ambitions.
You will:
* Complete two six-month rotations in year one
* Spend year two specialising in a chosen engineering discipline
* Rotate across specialist project, engineering, energy, infrastructure, consulting, and delivery teams
* Work on live projects supporting critical infrastructure, energy systems, sustainability, and complex engineering delivery
Projects span design, modelling, energy systems, site delivery, infrastructure, and carbon reduction initiatives, with exposure to both public and private sector clients.
What You’ll Do
As an Engineering Graduate, you will:
* Support the delivery of real engineering and infrastructure projects
* Assist with modelling, technical drawings, analysis, and site data
* Contribute to energy efficiency, sustainability, and carbon reduction initiatives
* Work collaboratively with engineering, commercial, operational, and consulting teams
* Apply data and insight to support decision-making and project outcomes
This is a hands-on programme designed to build both technical capability and commercial awareness.
Development & Professional Recognition
Your development is central to the programme. You will receive:
* Technical masterclasses and project-based learning
* Leadership and behavioural skills training
* Structured mentoring and line management support
* Active support towards professional recognition and chartership with relevant engineering institutions
You will join a supportive graduate community and gain the experience required to progress confidently towards Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status.
Skills & Attributes
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* Confidence working with data to inform decisions
* Clear communication and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams
* Proactive, curious, and adaptable mindset
* Genuine ambition to build a long-term engineering career
The organisation recruits for mindset and potential, not just specialism.
