Overview
EY’s Financial Services practice provides integrated services to banks, insurers, and other capital market participants. EY UK’s Remediation Team delivers regulatory risk and remediation services, supporting firms in identifying issues, conducting root‑cause analysis, and designing and implementing remediation programmes.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, implement and review past business reviews and remediation programmes for firms.
* Lead FCA‑agreed actions including Section 166 reviews.
* Conduct issue identification and health checks, assessing the quality of advice, systems and corrective measures of firms.
* Execute remediation activities including end‑to‑end project delivery, MI & reporting, operational planning and budgeting.
* Provide product/file reviews and quality assurance support.
* Develop policy and risk management frameworks, including governance arrangements, risk appetite and control frameworks.
* Identify and lead business development opportunities for new and existing clients.
Required Skills and Experience
* 10+ years’ experience within Financial Services or 5+ years’ experience delivering remediation programmes.
* Strong understanding of financial markets, regulatory standards and the ability to translate these into client solutions.
* Technical knowledge of financial products and customer‑facing regulated activities such as complaint handling.
* Strong academic background, ideally at degree level or equivalent.
* Experience managing and developing people.
