Responsibilities
* Oversee and maintain business assurance frameworks, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and collaborating with stakeholders to uphold compliance.
* Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to non-compliance, developing proactive strategies to safeguard business operations.
* Conduct regular audits, support internal and external audit activities, and contribute to governance processes through accurate documentation and collaboration.
* Implement and manage business process changes, regularly review procedures, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
* Maintain and update operational procedures, policies, and compliance records to ensure clarity, consistency, and accessibility.
* Lead investigations as required, performing root cause analysis to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.
* Provide evidence for activities to meet compliance standards such as SOC2, GDPR, BACS, ISO9001 and ISO27001.
Qualifications
* This is an entry-level role; candidates should have some prior experience to support success. Evidence of exposure to business assurance, compliance, audit, or risk-related activities (via roles, internships, or academic projects) is required.
* Experience with technical information systems, IT compliance, or IT audit is desirable.
* Exposure to regulatory frameworks and information security standards (e.g., ISO27001, SOC2, GDPR) or technology-driven controls is highly desirable.
* Understanding of regulatory frameworks, internal controls, and governance processes will enable quick contribution and development of technical expertise.
* This is an on-site role and will be majority office-based in Ruddington (NG11 6JS).
What You’ll Bring To The Role
* Evidence of experience in business assurance, compliance, audit, or risk-related activities from previous roles, internships, or academic projects.
* Ability to work with technical information systems and IT-related controls; knowledge of regulatory frameworks is a plus.
