Optimistic - Equity- Kindness- Innovation Collaboration Derby College Group (DCG) are seeking a SEND Caseworker to manage and coordinate the colleges response to EHCP consultations and act as a key link between the college and Local Authorities (LAs). This role involves working across our main college sites. The Opportunity We are seeking a dedicated, committed and knowledgeable professional to lead the coordination of the colleges response to EHCP consultations and act as the main liaison with Local Authorities and external education providers. In this role, you will provide case management and specialist support for students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), ensuring a smooth transition into college and promoting inclusive planning. You will be responsible for maintaining timely and accurate communication around placements, provision, and statutory duties, while supporting the colleges compliance with the SEND Code of Practice. Youll be skilled in working with Local Authorities, you can interpret EHCPs and contribute to placement decisions effectively. You will be highly organised and detail-oriented, you will manage deadlines well and maintain accurate records. With a SEND-specific qualification youre confident using data systems and adapting resources to support an inclusive learning environment.
