Information Security (Cyber) Manager
Full-time | UK | Remote
Our client is looking for an experienced Information Security (Cyber) Manager to join their growing technology‑driven organisation committed to strengthening cyber resilience, modernising detection & response capabilities and enabling secure adoption of emerging technologies - including GenAI.
This is a hands‑on and strategic role for someone who thrives on ownership, continuous improvement and driving security maturity across infrastructure, cloud environments and AI systems.
The Role
As the Information Security (Cyber) Manager, you will play a key part in shaping and maintaining robust security controls across the organisation. You’ll work closely with IT, engineering and the SOC to proactively identify risks, harden defences and ensure security is embedded into every layer of our client’s technology stack.
This is an opportunity to influence security architecture, innovate around detection and response and lead the secure implementation of AI technologies.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Strengthening cybersecurity controls based on MITRE ATT&CK and industry best practice
* Acting as the main point of contact for the SOC to drive continuous detection & response improvements
* Providing expert security guidance to IT, engineering and systems owners
* Conducting security reviews of new suppliers, software and technologies
* Enhancing SIEM, detection rules, response automation and visibility across devices and infrastructure
* Improving IAM, device management, productivity tools and cloud security (AWS, Azure, Microsoft ecosystems)
* Ensuring effective microsegmentation, access controls, RBAC, MFA enforcement and privileged access hygiene
* Driving secure design and deployment of AI/ML systems, including:
o AI security architecture
o Data protection and threat modelling
o Monitoring and compliance for AI security
* Managing vulnerabilities end‑to‑end and coordinating internal/external pen tests
* Monitoring the environment for threats, intrusions and suspicious activity
* Overseeing API security, key rotation, software library vulnerabilities and DevSecOps alignment
* Supporting incident response investigations
* Maintaining security documentation, reporting and risk registers
* Supporting compliance with ISO27001, CIS18, internal governance and audit processes
What You’ll Bring
* 5+ years’ experience in Information Security
* Strong understanding of security frameworks, risk management and cyber defence methodologies
* Proven experience securing cloud services (Azure or AWS)
* Experience working with SOC teams, detection tooling and security controls engineering
* Ability to translate technical risk into clear business impact
* One or more security certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH, etc.)
* Systematic problem‑solving mindset and strong ownership mentality
* Excellent communication skills – able to influence stakeholders across the organisation
* Must have the right to work in the UK
