We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Bennfield House. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to implement care plans effectively.
Responsibilities
* Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
* Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
* Monitor and report changes in residents' health status to nursing staff.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
* Engage residents in social and recreational activities to promote mental well-being.
* Document care provided accurately using IT systems as required.
* Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure high standards of care.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable.
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* Basic IT skills for documentation and reporting purposes.
* Ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate empathy towards residents.
