️ CNC Turner Programmer – Days

💰 Up to £20.00 per hour + Overtime + Pension
🕒 Mon–Fri | 8am–4.30pm | 40 Hours per Week

We’re recruiting on behalf of a respected precision engineering company with over five decades of expertise in high-spec CNC machining and fine-limit fabrication. They supply complex components to aerospace, defence, marine, and other advanced engineering sectors, and are looking for a skilled CNC Turner Programmer to join their team.
🔧 What You’ll Be Doing
*
Programming, setting, and operating CNC lathes (ideally with driven tooling)
*
Machining tight-tolerance, small-batch and prototype components in various materials
*
Reading and interpreting detailed technical drawings and GD&T
*
Creating and modifying CNC programs directly at the machine
*
Performing in-process quality checks using a range of hand-held inspection tools
*
Maintaining high quality standards in line with AS9100 procedures
*
Supporting continuous improvement and collaborating with the wider team
✅ What We’re Looking For
*
Strong experience programming and setting CNC lathes.
*
Confident with driven tooling and multi-axis turning operations
*
Ability to read engineering drawings and apply geometric tolerancing
*
Comfortable working with small-batch or one-off components
*
Knowledge of aerospace, defence or similar industries preferred
*
Reliable, organised and proactive attitude with a strong focus on quality
🔎 Desirable (but not essential)
*
Experience with MAPPS / CAPS controls
*
Knowledge of AS9100 quality procedures
*
Experience with stainless steel, aluminium or aerospace alloys
