Responsibilities
* Provide holistic midwifery care to women/birthing people and babies in the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal periods.
* Deliver care across hospital, Birth Centre, Day Assessment Unit, Maternity Triage and Transitional Care Unit settings.
* Support a range of opportunities for both experienced and newly qualified midwives to join our maternity teams.
* Participate in an orientation programme and receive appropriate support after appointment.
* Contribute to delivering STAR values (Service, Teamwork, Ambition and Respect) in daily practice.
Learning and Development
* We offer a fantastic package for newly qualified midwives and a dedicated Preceptorship Lead Midwife to provide mentoring and guidance.
* Shift work includes night duty and on-call duties as part of the role.
Organization and Environment
The post holder will work to provide high-quality, family-centred care within The Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Experience and Qualifications
* We are looking for midwives who can demonstrate kindness and compassion and are passionate about providing gold standard care to families who choose to birth with us.
* Experience appropriate to Band 6 level; opportunities available for both experienced and newly qualified midwives.
