Care Assistant - Carer in Residential Care Home - Bank - Days / Nights - Whitby

We are looking for experienced, capable, and friendly carers to work in a beautiful setting as part of an ambitious family-run group. The starting rate is £12.90 per hour plus holiday benefits in a fantastic home! We offer a supportive environment with excellent learning and development opportunities.

This modern care home is part of a family-run group with a legacy from John Fisher. It features great facilities, a family feel, and a warm, supportive environment.

Whitby Court is under new leadership within the same group and aims for an outstanding rating within the next three years. It is a home with stability and genuine optimism, seeking to improve in all areas with the right staff and team mentality.

Care experience or social care qualifications are desirable, especially experience working with the elderly. A good level of English is required, and you should be comfortable providing personal care. We need capable and friendly individuals who can build rapport with residents and maintain high standards of care.

Care Assistant Responsibilities

1. Ensure that service users are at the heart of care delivery, and their wishes and preferences are considered to enhance their wellbeing.
2. Contribute to the efficient running of the service.
3. Support service users in maintaining relationships with the local community.
4. Follow care plans and other supporting information for service users.
5. Inform the Senior Care Assistant/Nurse of any changes in service users' needs.
6. Promote and safeguard the welfare of individuals supported.
7. Develop effective working relationships with other staff members.
8. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maximize opportunities for service users.
9. If desired, maintain and develop relationships with residents’ family, friends, and others important to them.
