The firm specialises in power, gas, and carbon markets, and this role is ideal for someone with strong client relationships, a proven revenue track record, and solid experience in commodities broking. This is a commercially focused, client-facing role where you'll be expected to originate and execute trades across OTC and screen-based platforms, while contributing to the growth of the desk and the wider business. Role Overview As an Energy Broker, you'll be responsible for broking trades across carbon, power, and gas markets. You'll work closely with clients to deliver tailored solutions, identify trading opportunities, and maintain strong commercial relationships. Key Responsibilities Broker trades across carbon, power, and gas markets via OTC and screen-based platforms. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, counter parties, and internal teams. Originate new business and identify structured trading opportunities. Monitor market developments, regulatory changes, and price movements. Collaborate with operations and risk teams to ensure accurate trade execution and reporting. Provide market insights and pricing support to clients and sales teams. Candidate Profile Minimum 3 year's experience in commodities, ideally across carbon, power, or gas. Proven track record of revenue generation and client development. Experience with OTC and/or screen-based broking platforms. Strong understanding of energy markets and trading dynamics. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Commercially driven with a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset.
