Learning & Development Specialist

We have an exciting opportunity to join JBA’s Talent and Training team based at our head office in North Yorkshire, working alongside other Learning & Development (L&D) professionals including our Head of L&D.
Key Responsibilities in the Next 12 Months:
1. Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to storyboard, create, check, and assure new learning materials.
2. Manage the delivery and distribution of learning materials; analyze feedback and implement improvements.
3. Identify and liaise with third-party training providers or certifying bodies.
4. Develop expertise in instructional design software such as PageTiger, ISpring, Adobe, Camtasia, and PowerPoint.
5. Participate in JBA’s project manager development programme and achieve project manager status.
6. Support and mentor upcoming L&D professionals within the team.
Long-Term Goals:
Contribute to strategic talent management and training initiatives, develop solutions for colleagues’ development needs, and ensure training aligns with JBA policies and best practices.
Location:
Based at our Head Office in Broughton Park, Skipton, BD23 3FD, with flexible agile working arrangements.
Qualifications & Experience:
Established L&D professionals with experience in instructional design and managing learning solutions. Membership in professional bodies such as LPI, CIPD, or iTOL is preferred. A minimum of Level 6 qualification in a relevant field is beneficial, along with demonstrated skills in L&D delivery.

* Experience with instructional design and LMS management.

* Strong attention to detail and quality assurance.
* Ability to work independently, organize, and prioritize tasks.
* Commitment to continuous learning.
Desirable Attributes:
* Level 6 or higher qualification in L&D.
* Professional accreditation or chartered status.
* Project management skills.
* Knowledge of current L&D trends, including AI.
* Creativity and software innovation skills.
* Leadership or management experience in L&D.
