We’re looking for a Senior Intelligence Co-Ordination Unit Manager to be part of our Intelligence Directorate to play an important role in our new intelligence and law enforcement powers.
We are looking for a focused and detail orientated individual to lead the new Coordination Unit within the Intelligence Unit. Within your role, you’ll be responsible for developing the team's offering. You'll have strong relationship building skills and a track record of identifying cross cutting issues to benefit the Intelligence Unit's wider aims and be comfortable in responding to emerging issues and working to tight deadlines. A background in Intelligence is not necessary. Experience of working within a cross cutting policy environment is essential.
As a Senior Intelligence Coordination Unit Manager, you will be a member of the Intel Unit’s Senior Leadership team. You will be expected to:
* Lead on developing non-operational products to track and report activity
* Lead the team on the coordination and creation of a range of non-operational products to promote the Intel Unit’s activities
* Support the development of non-operational products to provide regular updates to our parent department on Companies House Economic Crime Plan 2 activities
* Lead on the creation of resources to present to stakeholders and partner organisations, producing updates for senior leaders
* Lead secretariat support to arranging the Intelligence Unit’s activities with partners
* Lead on developing and maintaining the Intelligence Unit’s register of policy lines, in conjunction with policy colleagues, including an awareness of cross cutting issues to record
* Lead the coordination of the Intelligence Unit’s governance products including the Business Assurance Framework and Risk Register
* Support development of briefing products to partners and exec level audiences
* Have Line Management responsibility of Coordination Unit Managers and ensure deadlines are met
Person specification
To be successful in this role, a background in Intel is not necessary but experience in building relationships, stakeholder management, producing products to tight deadlines are essential. Experience in producing or overseeing products such as the Intelligence Unit’s Risk Register, Register of Memoranda of Understanding and building products to update key stake holders such as our Board and parent department would be desirable.
For this role, we will be looking for:
* Demonstration of strong relationship management skill
* Demonstration of the ability to identify and escalate cross cutting issues
* Experience in liaising with other gov department on emerging issues
* Experience in understanding policy and identifying policy as a cross-cutting issue within wider conversations
* Coordination of the development of lines to take as well as overseeing the Intel Unit’s central record of lines
* Experience in turning volumes of information into products suitable for a wide variety of audiences
* Organisation and problem-solving skills
To be eligible for this role you also need to meet our Nationality requirements which are outlined below and also successful candidates must meet the security requirements for Security Check (SC) before they can be appointed. To gain (SC) clearance you will need to have been a UK resident for a minimum of 3 years.
