The Production Lead is responsible for supporting and leading the Production Team by gathering data, training and providing guidance to employees assigned to a work function. The Production Lead will also be responsible for hitting deadlines, output, customer KPI's. This role is responsible for the start to finish of the process which has variable components.
2) RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
• Lead and manage a repair team consisting of operators and technicians.
• Control and improve the work of the repair team.
• Ensure that production processes and procedures are always in accordance with the requirements.
• Be intuitive in production needs, actively think and come up with suggestions on how to improve the repair process.
• Control quality yields and act on their results.
• Ensure that all processes are always in operation with site ISO standards.
• Ensure that all workplace safety rules are followed.
• Assigning employees to indivudal positions based on skillset.
• Update the skills matrix and to be able to identify any weaknesses or training needs.
• Responsible for movement of the trained employees to balance the line.
• Monitoring employees quality of work and attendance.
• Driving the team to meet daily, weekly and monthly targets and output.
• Coordinates and communicates with all departments as needed.
• Understand how to read all manuals and guidelines to answer any questions from the team.
• Reviewing data and analyse all failed and on-hold units – clearly able to identify which devices can be used for spare parts.
• Encouraging a positive team moral and support the team with any issues or concerns raised.
• Monitors and reports violations applicable to safety, ESD and security rules or regulations.
• Able to work under pressure with multifunctional operations with many different components.
• Communicates the shift's schedule to employees.
• Ensure everyone has the appropriate supplies available, i.e. boxes, tools, etc.
• Completing and submitting the weekly timesheets accurately for the agency employees.
• Performs additional duties and responsibilities as directed.
• Responsible for improving and resolving any production issues.
3) EDUCATION / WORK EXPERIENCE:
• 1-3 years related experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a diverse team of employees.
• Excellent Microsoft Word, Email skills etc
Microsoft Excel to an advanced level (Pivot Tables, Lookups etc)
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent communication skills in writing and verbal communication with employees and customers.
