PRESALES CONSULTANT – CONSTRUCTION ERP – Job Description

Job Summary

Xpedeon is a global SaaS + ERP platform serving the Construction and Engineering industry. We are seeking a dynamic and client-focused Presales Consultant to support our UK sales initiatives by delivering tailored ERP solutions to prospective clients.

This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in ERP consulting, solutioning, or construction domain expertise who enjoy engaging with clients, understanding business challenges, and demonstrating technology-driven solutions.

The consultant will work closely with Sales, Product, and Delivery teams to articulate the value of Xpedeon’s platform through product demonstrations, solution design, and presales engagements, helping clients visualise how ERP can transform their construction operations.

Key Responsibilities

Presales & Solution Consulting

• Partner with Sales teams to support the end-to-end presales cycle

• Engage with prospective clients to understand business needs and pain points

• Design and present tailored ERP solutions aligned with client requirements

• Deliver compelling product demonstrations focused on construction workflows

• Articulate business value and ROI of Xpedeon solutions.

Client Requirement Mapping

• Conduct discovery sessions and workshops with stakeholders (Finance, Commercial, Project teams)

• Analyse “As-Is” and define “To-Be” business processes

• Map client requirements to ERP functionalities across modules (Finance, Projects, Procurement, etc.)

• Act as a functional bridge between business users and technical teams.

RFP / Proposal Management

• Respond to RFPs, RFIs, and tender documents with structured and compelling content

• Prepare solution documentation, presentations, and proposal responses

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure solution feasibility and accuracy

• Support bid defence meetings and client presentations.

Solution Demonstration & POC

• Configure demo environments based on client scenarios

• Deliver customised product demonstrations and walkthroughs

• Support Proof of Concept (POC) and pilot engagements

• Address functional queries and position differentiators effectively

Market & Product Positioning

• Maintain strong understanding of construction ERP market and competitors

• Provide feedback to Product teams based on client interactions

• Stay updated on industry trends, especially in UK construction and digital transformation

Experience and Qualifications

Required Experience

* • 5–10 years of experience in Presales / Solution Consulting / ERP Functional Consulting
* • Strong exposure to ERP systems within Construction, Engineering, or Project-based industries
* • Proven experience in delivering client-facing presentations and product demos
* • Understanding of construction business processes such as:
* • Project lifecycle management
* • Cost control and budgeting
* • Procurement and subcontract management
* • Financial reporting and project accounting

ERP & Systems Exposure

• Experience with ERP platforms such as:

• Xpedeon (preferred)

• COINS

• Viewpoint

• SAP / Oracle (project-based modules)

• Other enterprise or construction ERP systems

• Exposure to presales activities, demos, or solutioning is highly desirable.

Consulting & Communication Skills

• Strong presentation and storytelling skills

• Ability to engage with senior stakeholders and decision-makers

• Strong analytical and solutioning mindset

• Ability to translate business requirements into system-driven solutions

• Commercial awareness and sales alignment

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, or related discipline

• MBA or equivalent qualification is an advantage but not mandatory
