Clinical Support Officer

Provide essential non‑clinical support for community nursing teams, enabling clinicians to focus on patient care.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide non‑clinical administration support with patient‑related tasks such as booking visits, changing addresses, and updating keysafe numbers.
* Submit loan equipment forms and manage stock control of equipment and consumables.
* Handle patient phone calls and remote enquiries, prioritising and actioning as appropriate.
* Collect and drop‑off items and equipment from patients' homes; chase medication requests with prescribers.
* Photocopy, print, and prepare various packs for clinicians.
* Handle telephone enquiries and referrals politely and efficiently.
* Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining a positive image.
* Escalate complaints appropriately and manage confidential clinical personal information under Caldicott guidelines.
* Book, manage, and discharge appointments, including filing paperwork and updating IT systems.
* Operational use of electronic systems for safe record‑keeping and database management.
* Process and forward incoming information to relevant practitioners.
* Minute taking at meetings.
* Work as part of a team to support clinicians, ensuring patients are discharged and paperwork filed.
Requirements
Full, valid driving licence and access to a car (required for travel across Essex, Suffolk and Tendring).
Internally employed ESNEFT staff will be considered on a secondment basis only.
