Job Description
Carnival UK is in search of an On Board Sales and Loyalty Manager, who is crucial in supporting the P&O Cruises team to nurture a high-performing team.
Role Overview
The Onboard Sales Channel is a significant portion of the sales distribution for P&O Cruises. It is the only owned sales channel where we have face-to-face interaction with the guests, allowing us to gather feedback and optimize channel opportunities as well as broader business priorities.
This role is a shore-based position responsible for supporting the delivery of our onboard sales strategy, including targets and business plans, communicating opportunities, addressing challenges, implementing marketing campaigns, and building strong stakeholder relationships.
You will be supported by two Onboard Sales & Loyalty Executives and will lead this team in their daily operations and development.
Onboard sales revenue is generated by guests booking their next holiday while onboard.
This is managed by our fleet of Loyalty and Cruise Sales Managers (LCSMs). This role will work closely with these teams to support their sales performance and ensure they have the resources needed to meet targets.
Additionally, this role will collaborate with our Trade Sales team to leverage sales opportunities with travel agents and third-party partnerships, raising awareness of onboard booking benefits.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. Drive onboard sales performance by managing targets, analyzing trends, and collaborating with stakeholders to identify opportunities or challenges.
2. Develop and execute onboard marketing campaigns and promotional plans with relevant teams, ensuring effective assets and materials are available onboard.
3. Manage and mentor a small shore-based team, overseeing daily operations, coaching, appraisals, and personal development, including recruitment and training of ship-based managers.
4. Support fleet-based sales teams through training, resources, and communication to optimize sales performance.
5. Oversee the onboard loyalty program, ensuring it aligns with guest experience and commercial goals.
6. Build relationships across departments and with external partners to promote onboard bookings and awareness.
7. Monitor budgets, manage expenses, and provide regular sales and performance reports for data-driven decisions.
8. Develop key third-party partnerships to maximize revenue opportunities and engagement strategies.
This role is positioned within our internal structure from CUK15 (entry level) to CUK1 (Brand President), classified as CUK08, offered as a full-time, permanent position with hybrid work options.
