About the Role:
Our client is a well established and growing provider of Total FM Solutions and we are working with them to find an experienced Programme & Project Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of projects for their client in Oxford.
The projects range from small works and technical upgrades to construction and damp remediation, each with a value between £200K and £500K. The successful candidate will be responsible for pre-works management and coordination, ensuring seamless delivery across all projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Programming:Lead the planning and programming of multiple concurrent projects, ensuring robust schedules and resource plans are in place for each phase.
2. Pre-Works Management:Oversee all pre-works activities, including site assessments, contractor selection, and initial coordination meetings.
3. Team Management:Manage a team of project managers and contractors, providing clear direction and support to ensure all projects are delivered on time and within budget.
4. Client Relationship:Act as the primary point of contact for the client, building and maintaining a strong, positive relationship. The client is heavily involved and has strong preferences, so excellent communication and adaptability are essential.
5. Delivery Focus: The group are strong on delivery, so your main focus will be on programming, coordination, and ensuring all pre-works and works are executed to the highest standards.
6. Reporting:Provide regular updates to the client and internal stakeholders on project progress, risks, and milestones.
Essential Experience and Skills:
7. Proven Pre-Works Management:Demonstrated experience in pre-works management and coordination, ideally within technical, construction, or facilities environments.
8. Project Portfolio Oversight:Experience managing multiple projects (ideally 7–10) simultaneously, with budgets between £200K–£500K each.
9. Client-Facing Skills:Exceptional client relationship management skills, with the ability to respond quickly and effectively to client feedback.
10. Team Leadership:Experience managing project managers and contractors, ensuring clear communication and accountability.
11. Strong Programming Skills:Ability to develop and maintain detailed project schedules and resource plans.
