Job overview
Applications are invited for a Junior Clinical Fellow in Plastic Surgery, based at Royal Preston Hospital initially for 12 months.
Although this post is not recognized for training purposes, considerable “hands-on” training is provided in line with skills and experience.
In this role, you will work within a supportive and educational environment, gaining practical experience suitable for pre-ST3 level surgeons.
Main duties of the job
* Admission and clerking of new patients.
* Participate in ward rounds and provide day-to-day patient care.
* Provide cross-cover for colleagues as required.
* Attend operating theatres and outpatient clinics (depending on attachment).

* Meets professional health requirements per GMC standards.
Qualifications
* Full GMC registration and license to practice.
* MBBS or equivalent.
* MRCS or equivalent.
Experience and skills
* Basic surgical training or equivalent.
* Completion of Foundation training.
* UK experience in plastic surgery.
* Evidence of involvement in audit.
Personal qualities
* Effective communication skills with examples.
* Good organizational skills with examples.
* Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
