Behaviour Support Worker – Blackburn
Start Date: September 2026 | Long-Term Contract
We are currently seeking a committed and resilient Behaviour Support Worker to join a supportive school setting in Blackburn from September on a long-term basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced individual who is passionate about supporting young people with challenging behaviour and making a real difference in an educational environment.
The Role
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils displaying challenging behaviour
* Work closely with teaching staff and SEN teams to implement behaviour strategies
* Support pupils both inside and outside of the classroom
* Promote positive behaviour, engagement, and emotional regulation
* Build strong, professional relationships with students and staff
Requirements
* Essential: Previous school-based experience
* Proven experience working with challenging behaviour
* Strong behaviour management skills
* Calm, patient, and proactive approach
* Ability to build rapport and de-escalate situations effectively
* A genuine passion for supporting young people
