Job Title: Full-Time 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant (Primary)

About the Role:
Vision for Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a welcoming primary school setting. This role involves providing tailored support to a pupil with special educational needs, helping them to access learning, develop confidence, and thrive both academically and socially.
This is a full-time position starting in September, offering a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a child’s educational journey from the beginning of the academic year.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with SEN, adapting learning activities to meet their individual needs
2. Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised support strategies
3. Support the pupil’s emotional regulation, engagement, and social development
4. Encourage independence while maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment
5. Monitor and record progress, providing feedback to teaching staff and parents where required
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
6. Experience working with children with special educational needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or speech & language needs)
7. A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
8. Strong communication and teamwork skills
9. A genuine passion for supporting children’s development
10. Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent) – desirable but not essential
