Senior Technical Coordinator – Pathway to Technical Manager
Bristol | £55,000 – £70,000 plus package
Permanent | Full Time
A well-established, design-led housebuilder is looking for a Senior Technical Coordinator to join their high-performing Technical team — with a clear and supported step up to Technical Manager within 6–12 months.
With a healthy pipeline of traditional build sites (50 to 200 units), the business is now ready to invest in a Senior Coordinator who can grow into a leadership role, taking control of projects from planning through to delivery and final handover.
The Opportunity
This is an ideal role for an experienced Technical Coordinator ready to take the next step. You’ll initially lead the technical delivery across 2 live residential sites, working closely with external consultants, internal departments, and the Senior Technical Manager. As you take ownership of more project elements, you’ll be supported to develop into a Technical Manager, stepping up within the year based on performance and project needs.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage the design process from planning approval through to construction.
· Coordinate external consultants including architects, civil and structural engineers, and service providers.
· Lead technical input on planning condition clearance, Building Regs applications, and NHBC approvals.
· Monitor and review working drawings to ensure accuracy, compliance, and buildability.
· Coordinate utility designs, legal plans, and technical approvals (S38, S104, S278).
· Liaise closely with Land, Commercial, Construction, and Sales teams to ensure information flow and resolve site queries.
· Attend site and design team meetings, providing solutions to technical issues.
· Maintain project trackers, fee schedules, and ensure technical deadlines are met.
· Support junior coordinators and begin contributing to leadership meetings.
Why This Role?
· Step up to Technical Manager within 6–12 months (fully supported and expected).
· Join a growing regional housebuilder with a secure and diverse project pipeline.
· Lead your own projects with increasing autonomy.
· Work on high-quality traditional build schemes in a collaborative, agile environment.
· Be part of a flat-structured team where your impact is visible and valued.
About You
· 4+ years’ experience in a Technical Coordinator or Senior Technical Coordinator role.
· Proven experience delivering residential housing schemes (volume or bespoke).
· Strong knowledge of Building Regulations, planning conditions, and adoption agreements.
· Technically confident, solutions-focused, and commercially aware.
· Able to manage external consultants and internal stakeholders effectively.
· Based within commutable distance of Uxbridge.
