We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants (Qualified and Unqualified) to join our SEN department, supporting students with a range of additional needs both in the classroom and through targeted interventions. You will work closely with teaching staff to promote independence, remove barriers to learning, and help students thrive academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities
• Support SEND students in lessons and small group activities
• Assist with the delivery of evidence-based interventions
• Provide feedback on student progress and needs
• Help maintain an organised and inclusive learning environment
• Contribute to wider school duties and support students during social times
The Ideal Candidate
• Positive, proactive, and patient, with a genuine interest in supporting young people
• Strong communication skills and good levels of literacy and numeracy
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience working with young people (in any setting)
• Knowledge of SEND or experience in schools is beneficial but not essential
• NVQ, Supporting Teaching and Learning (Level3) or equivalent (for Qualified TA positions only)

Hours of Work:
28 hours and 45 minutes per week at the following times: 9.00am – 3.10pm, Monday – Friday
The above hours include a 20-minute paid break (if working more than 4 hours per day) and a 25-minute unpaid lunch break, to be taken at times agreed with the Line Manager
Working term-time plus inset days. Permanent and fixed-term contracts until 31st August 2026 are available
Salary:
Unqualified:
Grade D point 3 – 6
FTE £24,796 – £25,989 pro rata
Actual salary per annum is £16,535 - £17,330
Qualified:
Grade F point 6 – 12
FTE £25,989 – £28,598 pro rata
Actual salary per annum is £17,330 - £19,070
