Location: North London (N17)
Pay: £101.40 – £115 per day
Hours: 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
About the Role:
We are working with a specialist SEN provision that supports children and young people with a range of complex medical, physical, and learning needs.
Many of the pupils are non-verbal, require wheelchair assistance, and benefit from a structured, nurturing, and calm learning environment.
We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to provide consistent care, encouragement, and tailored learning support to pupils who thrive on routine and patience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with autism, ADHD, cerebral palsy, and communication difficulties
2. Assist with feeding, wheelchair mobility, and personal care (training provided)
3. Encourage pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development through structured activities
4. Support teachers and therapists in delivering individual learning and sensory plans
5. Promote independence, engagement, and confidence through positive reinforcement
6. Maintain a safe, calm, and supportive environment at all times
Requirements:
7. Experience as a Support Worker, Care Assistant, or SEN Teaching Assistant (school or residential experience welcome)
8. Understanding of complex SEN or PMLD needs
9. Comfortable assisting with personal care and medical routines
10. Calm, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting learning
11. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
12. Full-time availability (Monday–Friday, term-time only)
