* Position: CNC Press Brake Operator
* Working Hours: Monday-Friday – 2x shift rotation 6am-2.30pm / 2.30pm-11pm
* Salary: £13.73 per hour
* Contract: Temp to perm
Are you seeking a hands-on role in a dynamic, fast-paced metal fabrication environment? Our client is recruiting CNC Press Brake Operators to support us in ensuring that all components meet the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Set up and operate CNC press brake machines to bend and form metal components according to engineering drawings.
* Interpret engineering drawings in both first and third angle projection to determine machine settings and sequence of operations.
* Select and install appropriate tooling for each job, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications.
* Conduct in-process inspections to verify dimensions and quality, making adjustments as necessary.
* Maintain equipment by performing routine checks and reporting issues promptly.
* Collaborate with a team of approximately 10 colleagues and manage assigned tasks independently.
* Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards.
About You:
* Proven experience as a CNC Press Brake Setter/Operator, with a background in hydraulic or mechanical press machines.
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, including first and third angle projections.
* Ability to work independently, managing multiple tasks without supervision.
* Experience in setting tools and performing in-process inspections to ensure quality control.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make precise machinery adjustments.
* Good communication skills for effective team collaboration.
* Understanding of health and safety regulations related to machinery operation.
