Acute Medicine is a vital part of urgent care at UHBW, with plans to expand and develop our services, including the Acute Medical Unit, Same Day Emergency Care Unit, and clinical pathways.

Our service includes a 39-bed Acute Medical Unit, SDEC, and Medical Take management, working closely with various specialties and part of the Division of Medicine.
UHBW includes leading tertiary services like the Bristol Heart Institute and Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre. We encourage cross-specialty collaboration.
